Le MARCHE - Infinite Beauty ...
".... so blessed by God with beauty of variety of uberness, among this descent of mountains that defend, among this spreading of seas that embrace, among this rising of hills that greet, among this opening of valleys that smile....."
Giosuè Carducciin Recanati June 29, 1898 on the occasion of the 1st centenary of the birth of Giacomo Leopardi.
Valdaso - From Sibillini Mountains ... to the Adriatic Sea
Valdaso, the garden of the Marche
Hinge between the provinces of Ascoli Piceno and Fermo the Aso Valley is considered by the Marche region a privileged corridor from the environmental landscape point of view that preserves the distinctive features of an agrarian landscape witness of an ancient knowledge, the same that the Latin poet Virgil recognized in the "Novalia culta" the wisely cultivated fields.
In every season of the year the landscapes of the Valdaso are colored with beauty and the panorama stretches from the sea to the Sibillini Mountains. The autumn colors of yellow, ocher and brown are fascinating; the winter ones of the snow-covered hills and mountains are suggestive, those of spring and the valley in bloom are simply spectacular.
The union between the Adriatic sea and the Sibillini mountains generates a truly ideal climate for the cultivation of orchards, olive groves, vegetables, but above all vineyards; it is, in fact, an enviable territory that offers in a few kilometers the sea, the hills and the mountains.
